This first meeting we will be dispursing some of our plans and policies as they related to the education of our students and the services we offer.
Please note the time change from 4: 30 pm to 5 pm.

Night Lights parents/guardians,
On Monday, March 3 & Tuesday, March 4 there will be a special presentation for the Night Lights kids. To include all the students, the Night Lights students have been divided in to two groups. They may have been moved to a different day just for this event. A note went home Wednesday with the list of who goes on what day. It is also attached here.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are in the process of updating our records at Solen High School and require updated ED 506 Forms for each student to confirm eligibility for the Title VI Indian Education Formula Grant Program.
This form is crucial as it helps determine the funding allocation for eligible students under the program. Completing and submitting this form will ensure that your child is counted towards the school's funding eligibility.
All high school students will bring the form home tomorrow. We ask that you review the information, complete the form as applicable, and return it to Solen High School by Thursday February 24th. Attached, you will find the ED 506 Form along with detailed instructions for completion. If you have any questions or need assistance with the form, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 7014453331.

Cannonball Elementary School will have a virtual day tomorrow, Monday, February 24, 2025. Grades 6-12 will have a normal day.

Mrs. Ferguson’s 2nd grade celebrated the end of Trimester with a sledding field trip today! Fun was had by all!

Good afternoon Cannonball families. There is an expected water shut off on Monday, February 24th that will affect our school day. Your student(s) will be bringing home a "virtual packet". Your child is expected to complete their packets and return them to school on Tuesday, February 25th. If the student does not return their packet they will be counted as absent on Monday, February 24th.
If the student does complete their packet and return them to their classroom teacher they will receive an incentive at school that day. We ask that you please assist your children to help with the completion of their packets and remind them to return it to school at the start of next week. This will help our students stay engaged when they would normally have classroom time and also help keep up our amazing attendance from students. We appreciate your support and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
If there are any changes to the water shut off that will be communicated by the Solen School District Admin Team. Thank you for your help.

Hello Solen Sioux families,
We plan to start school on time tomorrow. Again we are expecting extremely cold temperatures for the morning. Buses will run as normal.
Please be sure students are dressed for the conditions. As always, if you feel it is unsafe for your child(ren) to be at school, we support your decision to keep them home. Junior high and high school students have tri-mester tests tomorrow and Friday so please make every attempt to notify the school if they will be gone.
These decisions are never made lightly. We have excellent bus drivers who truly care about all of their passengers and our busses are in great condition.
We will continue to monitor the weather closely.
Stay warm and safe. Your patience and support is greatly appreciated!
Ms. Kramer

The eighth grade class took a trip to Sitting Bull College to experience Marketplace for Kids. This educational day gave students the opportunity to gain knowledge about careers, such as teaching, nursing, crime scene investigation, and even agriculture.

Junior High students had the opportunity to learn about Vision Zero last week. Vision zero is a strategy to eliminate traffic, fatalities and serious injuries. Students learned how to behave in a car and how they can be positive influences on each other when it comes to driving safely.

Solving math problems and spreading love!💕
My students are not only solving equations but also adding a splash of color to their Valentine's-themed worksheets.
A perfect mix of math and creativity! ❤️ 💝

Due to the cold temperatures, Solen Public School District will start two hours late Wednesday, February 19, 2025. If you feel it is too cold for your child to attend school and you decide to keep them home, please contact the school and we will work with you.
Under no cirumstances should your child walk to school. If they miss the bus please call the school. If you are unable to call the school and your child misses the bus and you are unable to bring them to school, please keep them home. It is necessary that your child dresses appropriately for the weather.
Thank you,
Ms. Kramer
